SIPO will showcase High Precision 3D Face Authentication Solution, 2.4G RF Remote Control LED Lamp and much more @COMPUTEX 2018

To help the industrial transformation and maximize the effects of high added values, the Industrial Development Bureau (IDB) has established the “Smart Electronics Industry Project Promotion Office (SIPO)” on Jan 1, 2012.To showcase smart integrations and applications from Taiwan’s electronics manufacturers to overseas buyers and visitors, SIPO has engaged in COMPUTEX since 2016 and generated a lot of positive feedback from visitors.

This year, SIPO invites 9 companies to set up a collective booth “Smart Living Pavilion” which comprises Smart cars, Smart medicals and Smart home (Booth number L0432). This pavilion would assist IoT application vendors to gain publicity, impress good image, and help in showing vendors level of professionalism of smart technology.

To showcase smart integrations and applications from Taiwan’s semiconductor manufacturers to overseas buyers and visitors, SIPO has organized a “SIPO Smart Living EXPO” pavilion alone with three uprising topics such as Smart Internet of Vehicle, Smart Healthcare and Smart Home at COMPUTEX 2018.

The WiseEye IoT is an innovative ultra-low power solution, applying machine vision at the edge to provide dynamic scene interpretation for in-doors and out-doors environment, consuming typically under one milliwatt. The WiseEye IoT solution includes a specially designed CMOS technology and ASIC processor, tightly coupled with proprietary machine vision algorithms by Emza Visual Sense who is an Israel company fully acquired by Himax in 2018. This disruptive solution allows low-cost IoT systems to employ advanced always-on visual intelligence applied to Intrusion detection, Human classification, Human presence detection, and People counting.

The 2.4G RF Remote Control LED Lamp is implemented using the Holtek 2.4GHz RF transceiver IC, the BC9824. The product will retain a special focus in the wireless application area. Having the features of low power consumption and high performance and with its internal SPI interface, the device offers users excellent solutions for 2.4GHz transmission applications. This makes it suitable for wireless control product application areas such as wireless remotes, house entertainment, security products and smart home products to name but a few.

Long Range Wireless Smoke Alarm

HOLTEK’s Long Range Wireless Smart Smoke Alarm module includes Semtech's LoRa® components, which with its LoRa® Technology is based on the LoRaWANTM open protocol smart fire alarm module. This smart fire alarm module is a combination of Semtech's LoRa® technology and Holtek's latest smoke detector MCU, which includes both an alarm and a main controller. The host controller utilizes a Holtek 32-bit M0+ MCU monitor for the smoke detection operation and uses LoRa® technology for its long-distance communication. If the smoke detector detects the presence of smoke it will then communicate with the other smoke detector alarms located within the smart building. This Holtek solution has the benefits of long-distance communication, low power consumption and ease of use.

Wireless Inter-connectable Smoke Alarm

Holtek’s Wireless Inter-connectable Smoke Alarm uses a two-way wireless FSK/GFSK high-performance RF device, the BC3601 as well as a BA45F5240 smoke-detector security device. It is designed for use in the license-free ISM Bands below 1GHz (300MHz~960MHz). It is suitable for use in low power consumption battery powered applications or for use in IoT product applications. Possible product solutions are those for smart home/security wireless two-way communication applications. When the detector detects the presence of smoke, it can connect to an alarm system to prevent the outbreak of fire.

BLE Electronic Blood Pressure Meter

The BLE Electronic Blood Pressure Meter is implemented using the Holtek Arm® Cortex®-M0+ based low energy Bluetooth transparent transmission controller, the BC32F7611. It is supplied in a 46-pin QFN (6.5mmx4.5mm) package type, which is well suited for miniaturized BLE single chip applications. This makes it an excellent choice for low energy Bluetooth transparent transmission controllers. Dedicated for use in transparent transmission, the device is suitable for applications such as healthcare products, home appliances, smart device information beacons, intelligent toys and data loggers to name but a few. The biological data logs sampled by the BLE Electronic Blood Pressure Meter can be transmitted using low energy Bluetooth.
